On 19 September 2025, Taisho Pharmaceutical reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing the quality of life of Thai youth with the official launch of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, “Taisho Go Sport.” The program aims to promote health and expand access to sports opportunities for young people in remote areas, with its pilot activities conducted in Kanchanaburi Province.
As part of the initiative, Taisho provided educational scholarships, sports equipment, and facility improvements, including the renovation of sports fields and playgrounds. In addition, a football clinic was organized to share techniques, inspiration, and real-life experiences with youth, led by former Thai national football players “Go” Datsakorn Thonglao and “Kob” Suchao Nutnum, who engaged closely with participants to inspire and encourage them to pursue their dreams through sports.
Mr. Yasumasa Iwamoto, President of Taisho Pharmaceutical (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and Osotspa Taisho Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a leading company in pharmaceuticals, healthcare products, and cosmetics under well-known brands such as Counterpain, Tempra, Ezerra, Locoa, Lusefi, and the energy drink Lipovitan-D, stated that for over 60 years of operations in Thailand, Taisho Pharmaceutical has remained committed to contributing to the sustainable development of Thai society, particularly in the areas of health and education, which are fundamental to human resource development and the improvement of overall quality of life.
In line with this commitment, the company continues its CSR mission through the “Taisho Go Sport” program, which focuses on promoting health and sports among youth in underserved communities. The initiative seeks to inspire, create opportunities, and ignite aspirations among the younger generation by enhancing their potential through sports development and creative activities.
The pilot project was carried out at Lum Pong Siew School in Kanchanaburi Province, where Taisho supported the development and renovation of sports facilities, playgrounds, and the overall school environment to ensure they are safe and suitable for use. The company also provided scholarships, sports equipment, and sportswear, along with recreational activities designed to bring joy and positive experiences to students.
Furthermore, Taisho organized a football clinic featuring two legendary former Thai national team players, Datsakorn Thonglao and Suchao Nutnum, who shared their professional experiences and taught fundamental football skills to interested youth. Football teams from Ban Hua Na School, Baan Dek Village School, and Wat Tham Ang Hin School participated in the activities, which were held at Lum Pong Siew School. The program aimed to foster a love for sports, promote healthy lifestyles, provide access to standard-quality sports equipment, and support the long-term development of athletic skills.
“Taisho Go Sport reflects our belief that good health is the foundation of a strong future—not merely the absence of illness, but a balance of physical strength, mental resilience, and a supportive society. We are committed to enabling children and youth in remote areas to access sports and physical activities that help develop discipline, life skills, and personal potential. Through creative programs and safe sports facilities, we strive to create equal opportunities for youth in every community,” Mr. Iwamoto said.
